výměna rukopisu (hra pro dva aktér) 2006-2007 / exchange of handwriting (a performance for 2 actors) 2006-2007
prní verze se uskutečnila během 36 pracovních dnů od 14. ledna do 4. března 2006. ve spolupráci s christinou courtin jsem v newyorské galerii art in general přepisoval 36 krátkých pasáží z anglického překladu knihy rudolfa těsnohlídka liška bystrouška. 4 hodiny denně po dobu 18 dnů jsme se pokoušeli co nejvíce přiblížit rukopisu toho druhého. po měsíci a půl jsme používali při přepisování textu už jen vlastní paměť.
druhá verze výměny rukopisu, se odehrála v atriu pražákova paláce moravské galerie od 13. prosince 2006 do 11. března 2007. andrea láníčková a filip smetana si v prostoru atria vyměnili své rukopisy po dobu 58 pracovních dní. dvojice přepisovala esej ubytovat se v bezdomoví viléma flussera z jeho životopisu bezedno.
třetí verze se uskutečnila mezi 16. srpnem a 9. listopadem 2007 jako součást kolektivní výstavy art in general - 25 years later v prostorech ubs gallery v newyorku. diego cagcas a kendra mylnechuk se během 25 dní pokoušeli vyměnit své rukopisy přepisováním dvou textů. prvním je esej viléma flussera ubytovat se v bezdomoví a druhým je závěr knihy levi-strause smutné tropy.

the first version of this performance took place over 36 working days, from january 14 to march 4, 2006, at art in general in new york. in cooperation with christina courtin, a brooklyn based musician, i rewrote 36 short passages from the english translation of the book the cunning little vixen by rudolf těsnohlídek. 4 hours a day for 18 days we worked on learning to imitate each others handwriting as precisely as possible. after a month and a half, we needed only our memory while copying the text.
the second version took place in the atrium of pražák palace at the moravian gallery in brno from december 13, 2006 to march 11, 2007. for 58 working days, the participants in the project, andrea láníčková and filip smetana each learned to imitate each others handwriting. the two participants copied out the essay „taking up residence in homelessness“ by vilém flusser.
the third version, took place from august 16th and november 9th 2007 art at the exhibition art in general: 25 years later in the ubs gallery in new york, as part of a group exhibition along with 9 other projects that had taken place in art in general over the years. each of the actors (diego cagüeñas and kendra mylnechuk) learned to imitate each others handwriting with a different text - the first was the essay by vilem flusser „taking up residence in homelessness“ and the second as the conclusion of levi-strauss‘s book tristes tropiques.
