SPERM is a festival of experimental electronic music which offers a full scale of contemporary music styles
(electro, hip hop, indie, breacore, dubstep and etc.)
Bosák and Jansa were invited to design the festival visual identity. They came up with
a diagonal line pattern which serve as a base for organizing visual information on festival posters, flyers and other publicity material. The common ground of ‘clean‘ computer graphics is further interrupted by a series of quite ‘depressive’ images taken in a dark forest and hand-made illustrations that compose altogether nine different visual styles communicating the festival music categories. The house style also applies some innovative visual techniques such as ascii typography, neo op-art, neo typo-photo (‘written’ by a torch in the forest), minimal graphics, street calligraphy, ‘low-fi’ design or absurd visual contrast where tiny lines replace thick shapeless logs.
